Homemade Snickers Bars

Nothing says I love you–or I love me, whatever the case may be–better than homemade Snickers Bars. What, you’ve never heard that line before? Trust us on this one. Go ahead and treat yourself this Valentine’s Day with this chocolatey, peanuty indulgence. Gift them, share them, or keep them all for yourself. In our books, hidden beneath mushy Hallmark cards and candy hearts, Feburary 14 is International Unabashedly-Eat-as-Much-Chocolate-as-You-Want Day. xoxo.

Bottom Layer
1 bag chocolate chips
1/4  cup Nutella

Nougat Layer
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 jar Marshmallow Fluff (hello childhood)
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 cups peanuts
1 tsp vanilla extract

Caramel Layer
1 bag caramel pieces
1/4 cup whipping cream

Top Layer
1 bag chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter

Melt chocolate chips and Nutella until smooth, pour into greased baking dish
Refrigerate for 15 minutes
Melt butter in pan over low heat, and pour in evaporated milk
Bring to a boil, pour in marshmallow fluff, peanut butter, and vanilla extract and stir until smooth
Remove from heat and fold in peanuts
Pour the nougat layer over the hardened chocolate layer, refrigerate for 20 minutes
Melt caramels and whipping cream over low heat (be careful, caramel burns easily!)
Once melted, pour the caramel mixture over the nougat layer, and refrigerate for 20 minutes
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat until smooth, pour over caramel layer
Refrigerate for 1-1 1/2 hours until completely hard
Slice into squares and serve!
