Homemade Cereal

Not to toot our own horn, but we’re obsessed with this cereal. It’s not rocket science, but we really can’t imagine eating any store-bought cereal now (except for Puffins… there will always be room for PB Puffins). Most packaged cereals (even the “heart healthy” ones) are loaded with sugar, and actually not the smartest way to start your day — they’ll spike your blood sugar, and leave you reaching for another snack an hour later. We usually sprinkle this cereal over plain greek yogurt with berries, or enjoy it by the bowl-full. The recipe is totally customizable, so don’t fret if you’re out of any of the ingredients. We like to store our batches in mason jars to keep the cereal crunchy and fresh.
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
2 cups brown rice crisps
2 cups millet puffs
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/4 whole wheat buckwheat groats
1 cup whole oats
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds

Combine + enjoy!
